You may know those moments when the entire hall fades away, when the people around you cease to exist, and nothing remains but a single face— a pair of eyes meeting yours from only a breath away.

I see folklore as an ancient dance that continues to live in countless forms. It has its own elements, its rituals, its treasured objects, its customs, and its steps, lovingly passed down from one generation to the next. Through this dance, we are bound to distant centuries, to more recent village feasts and celebrations, across regions, across generations, and to one another—quite literally, hand in hand, clothed in the spirit of celebration.

CZ: Když dva tančí jeden druhému v náručí, je to intimní a okouzlující. Jistě znáte ty chvíle, kdy zapomenete na celý sál, nevnímáte lidi okolo, ani nic jiného a vidíte jen tvář, jen oči kousíček od těch vašich.

Vidím folklór jako pradávný a stále živý tanec v mnoha podobách. Má své součásti, rekvizity, pravidla, postupy a kroky, které se předávají přes generace. Jsme tímto tancem spojeni s dávnými dobami, nedávnými hody a zábavami, napříč regiony, generacemi i mezi sebou navzájem, doslova. Ruku v ruce. Oblečeni ve sváteční náladu.
