Best of luck to WCOPA competitors
It was such a delight to shoot two of WCOPA 2019 competitors and meeting an old time friend on top of that.
A world swirls around the dancers at Festival in Skoronice
Traditional festivals are quite common in Slovacko region and I had the opportunity to witness one in Skoronice last weekend. The singing, dancing and procession commenced in the late afternoon and unfortunately it’s getting dark quite early these days. Despite that I managed to capture what I wanted: A WORLD SPINNING AROUND THE DANCERS.

International Ballet Masterclasses in Prague 2018 4/5
Here are - for the fourth time - some more photographic memories of International Ballet Masterclasses in Prague 2018. These are from solo classes. I generally like solos very much and ballet solos are no exception. It was so good to see Anna Osadcenko again and to meet Jason Railey there.
International Ballet Masterclasses in Prague 2018 3/5
These are from Jan Kodet’s contemporary class. He is such an awesome dancer, choreographer and coach.I want to once again say that I so admire dancers and their stamina. They are such an inspiration to me.The class was held in Jiri Kylian Ballet studio (one of Narodní divadlo studios) on a day when temperatures in Prague reached
Ferrum Nostrum Duet
There are pairs or even larger sub-groups in every large team, I’d say, so although the Ferrum Nostrum photographic story should have ended with photos of individual dancers backed by the team in the background, here is a post with Jana and Kačka
Ferrum Nostrum 2/2
Each one of them is unique and special but all of them have been smelted and forged into refined soloist and team dancers. They are not statues, they don’t pose, they are alive and they move and dance. Dance is their language and if you look closely you’ll see them call:“This is me as I am. This is our region. This is our blast furnace. This is our iron. This is name of our tribe. FERRUM NOSTRUM. This is we!!!”

Bzenecké krojované vinobraní 2018
This photographic gallery is about faces. It is about our faces as well as it is about faces of our ancestors – about faces we cannot recall in exact details anymore and about faces we could never seen. They wore these or similar costumes and did similar things as we do. They worked, they danced, they hold their hands and they fell in love.

ProART Festival Valtice 2018
ProART Festival is an unique festival connecting different arts and consisting of both workshops and performances. Workshops are usually held in disciplines such as: dance, acting, singing, photography, music, drawing and creative writing and are open to anyone from general public to professionals. To me it’s the openness, almost one to one approach and varying level of proficiency as well as different ages of participants (ranging from artists as young as 13 or 14 to as seasoned as 70) that help create the attractive and pleasant atmosphere and the unique interactions.ProART Festival in Brno offers most workshop and greater variety but Valtice has something else ...
It is kind of a tradition to me
Although I often mention majorettes, it was actually a Swedish folk-dance group who were the very first dancers in front of my camera. So it is a kind of a tradition to me to...
