Podhostynsky pohar 2017

I spent most of the last Saturday at Podhostýnský pohár in Bystřice pod Hostýnem.

It was my sixth time shooting there and I really enjoyed being back to this international majorette competition. It was so nice meeting my old friends there (Dear Mrs. Kroupova, the goulash was great and thank you Monika for treating me to afternoon tea).

The stage was in the viewfinder of many photo- and videographers, both amateurs and professionals so there was no need to shoot every performance as I used to some years ago.

So I wandered around the stage instead and I took pictures of moments that caught my attention: A practise, a hug, a majorette waiting for her imminent turn and clutching her baton and many others.

Although the light was less than favourable most of the time and the space was rather crowded I managed to took some photos that I quite liked.

Apart from the photos that I took around the stage I couldn’t resist shooting the solos.

You can find some of the photos below and some more on my Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/kalop.eu/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1668953223121862
